1) The Alaska Zoo:
The Anchorage Running Club is partnering with the Alaska Zoo for this race.
A portion of the race fee proceeds, as well as all online donations, will be donated to the Alaska Zoo. Your race bib is your passport to the Alaska Zoo on race day for free admission to visit your favorite animals.
2) The Anchorage Run Club Scholarship Fund:
The Anchorage Running Club is a 501 (c)(3) all volunteer organization. Its mission is to promote a healthy life style through running and exercise. Funds raised by the club go toward the support of community running events, the creation of new events throughout the year, the ARC scholarship program for deserving high school seniors, and high school sports teams.
One of the goals of the ARC and Anchorage RunFest is to raise scholarship funds for Alaska high school runners to help out with their education expenses. Each year the ARC receives dozens of applications and chooses outstanding students to receive college scholarships. In 2021 ARC is awarded one high school graduate $3,000.
