About the Race
The Frosty Feet Half Marathon is a Fairbanks running tradition entering a new chapter. If you are looking for a super fun, good-energy, point-to-point race, this is your event. No matter the weather, we run!
Previously known as the HooDoo Half Marathon, the event was held for 10 years and became a favorite fall race for runners and walkers throughout Interior Alaska. In 2026, the race returns as the Frosty Feet Half Marathon, hosted and organized by Frosty Feet Running Company and Frosty Feet Timing & Events. Our goal is pretty simple: Put on a great race.
We want you to have a good time from the starting line to the finish line. We're here for the competitive runners, the first-timers, the walkers, the weekend warriors, the running groups, the families, and everyone who thinks running 13.1 miles sounds like a fun way to spend a Saturday.
Frosty Feet brings more than two decades of combined event-organizing experience to races throughout Interior Alaska, with a focus on solid race logistics, professional timing and—most importantly—a great participant experience.
So come run with us. Rain, sleet, snow, or shine. That's just part of the fun.

Post Race Party
- We will be transforming the Moose Creek picnic area into a festive post-race hangout! Festivities will begin by 11 AM to help welcome our first finisher around 11:15-11:30 AM
- Music and Emcee: Muzik Medicine Entertainment Group will be setting the vibe and playing some great jams at the post-race party.
- Beer Garden: Hoodoo Brewing Company is hosting and sponsoring the post-race beer garden (biergarten). Each racer receives 2 drink coupons redeemable for beer or non-alcoholic beverages. You must present a current and valid form of identification to enter the biergarten, and you must be 21 years of age or older on race day or be accompanied by a parent, spouse, or legal guardian - no exceptions.
- Food Trucks: Local food trucks are pay-as-you-go, but race participants will get a $1-off coupon on their bib. We will have an awards ceremony around 1 PM. Friends and family are welcome to join participants for all the festivities, and there will be lots of all-ages space, so bring your crew!
Awards
Starting at 1 PM at the Moose Creek picnic area at Pioneer Park, we will have our awards ceremony for the top 3 women’s and men’s finishers. Sweet, locally made awards are provided by our fantastic event supporter, The Great Alaskan Bowl Company.
