Woodstock is a fun, healthy, community event where more than 1000 runners and walkers come to shake their tail feathers! Go ahead and mark your calendar for August 7, 2021 for the oldest footrace in the southeast!
Woodstock is an exciting 5K with world class start/finish lines, our famous finish on Woodstock Avenue, and a totally groovy post-race celebration with food and fun!
Don't forget to check out our ever-so-popular Team Challenge! Team runners have a chance to win a cash prize for the team with the most participants and trophies for the fastest male, female, and coed team, as well as the team with the most spirit!
Please enjoy the hospitality Annistonians and Alabamians are famous for. We promise you won't leave Woodstock disappointed- our runners, volunteers, and community guarantee it!
If you are unable to join us in-person, we are offering a virtual "run anywhere" option. You can be a part of the 40th Woodstock 5k or 1 Mile by participating virtually. You may complete your virtual 5K or 1 Mile anywhere run between Saturday, July 31st and Saturday, August 7th. We will mail you your shirt, assign you a printable digital bib, you will be able post your time in the virtual results event, upload photos of you and friends on your run, and print a finisher's certificate. Please note, due to the nature of virtual results being reliant on dependable cell service and honesty, virtual participant's results are for recognition only and will not be eligible for prize money, age group awards, or trophies. See more detailed information about participating virtually in our "Virtual FAQ's" section below.

Q: Do I have to be in a certain city/state to do this event?
A: Anyone can do the VIRTUAL Woodstock 5K or Virtual 1 Mile wherever you are, on your time! This is great way for families and friends to stay active together, even if you don't live close to each other. However, if you are registered for Woodstock 5K or 1 Mile, you will need to toe the Start Line on Woodstock Ave.
Q: Do I have to run or can I walk?
A: You can run, walk, runwalk ... as long as you are purposefully moving and logging miles, it counts.
Q: Do I have to complete the 5K or 1 mile at one time?
A: Yes, since this is a "timed" event, you will need to complete the full 5k during one activity ... not multiple combined activities.
Q: Do I have to put in my miles outside?
A: Preferably you will be able to go outside so you can use our Live GPS tracking app, RaceJoy (see RaceJoy How To below). but if you need to complete your miles inside (on a treadmill, at the gym, etc.) that will be possible with the alternate reporting option.
Q: How do I record my miles/time?
A: The easiest and best way will be to utilize the RaceJoy app ... you simply hit start on the app and it will register your time in results when you complete 5K or 1 mile. But, if you are unable to carry your phone; will be in a location with poor cell service; or need to complete your miles inside or on a treadmill, then there will be alternate ways to report your time. You can upload directly to the RunSignUp system. Just go to the Results tab on this webpage and choose "Submit Virtual Results".
