Description
The Birmingham Track Club gives local by hosting virtual runs where all of the proceeds are donated to the local community. The beneficiary for this run is central Alabama's Freshwater Land Trust. Run/walk/jog/crawl any distance you like in any location you want (although we certainly recommend the trails of the Red Rock Trail System - more on that below). Your participation in this event furthers our goal of a healthier community by helping us give back in a tangible way.
Entry Fee
For your entry fee of $30 you get a custom designed BTC4FWLT shirt or you can choose the "No Shirt" option during registration and pay only $20 to participate. Whichever you choose, you are providing valuable support for the Freshwater Land Trust. Please note that shirts will be ordered after the event concludes so that we can order exact quantities. You will receive information after the event about pickup/delivery options.
Where to Run
As a virtual run, you are free to run anywhere you like but we recommend getting out and exploring the many trails that are part of the Red Rock Trail System developed by the Freshwater Land Trust. Not familiar with these trails? We've got you covered with all the details. Just follow this link: https://freshwaterlandtrust.org/find-a-trail.

Beneficiary
All proceeds from race entry fees and donations will go to our designated beneficiary: the Freshwater Land Trust (FWLT). Freshwater Land Trust conserves, connects, and cares for land and water in Central Alabama, creating dynamic green spaces for future generations. In the simplest terms, they conserve land and build trails so that Alabama’s communities are healthier and happier. This week long virtual event is an opportunity for you to explore some of the beautiful trails around Birmingham while at the same time supporting the FWLT's mission to extend these trails to create a healthier and happier community.
