Join us on Saturday, November 14, 2026, for the 4th Annual UAB Veterans Day 5K presented by Viva Health at Railroad Park — a community event dedicated to honoring those who have served and supporting the next generation of military-connected students.

Since launching in 2023, this event has grown into one of Birmingham's most meaningful Veterans Day traditions. Last year alone, more than 1,100 participants and 100 volunteers showed up to make a difference — and because of their support, we've been able to grant $13,000 in emergency funding in academic year 25-26 to military-connected students facing hardships like housing insecurity, unexpected expenses, and the everyday costs of earning a degree.

This year, we're continuing that mission with even greater purpose, and we want you to be part of it.

Whether you're a runner, walker, rucker, or wheelchair racer, there's a place for you at the starting line. Not local or can't make the date? Join us virtually — our 2026 race includes a virtual option open to UAB alumni and military-connected community members anywhere in the world.

Race Packet Pickup

Early Pickup: Nov 12th and 13th from 9 AM–6 PM @ UAB Hill Student Center, Suite 313
Race Day Pickup: Begins at 6:30 AM onsite

Virtual Participants: Your race shirt and finisher medal will be mailed to the address provided at registration within one week following the race.
