Description

The Tommy Trot 5k is a 5k run/walk to raise funds for prostate cancer research. This race is dedicated in memory of Tommy Cutshall, who passed away from prostate cancer.

Come run this out and back course in the beautiful Oak Mountain State Park and support a great cause! The race will begin/ end at the Dogwood pavilion at Oak Mountain State Park. There is a $5 gate fee to enter Oak Mountain State park that is not included in the registration price.

Not Ready To Attend In-Person Events Yet? 

Sign up as a Virtual 5K Run/Walk Participant! The virtual option will be held through the Charge Running app, where you’ll be able to run/walk together at the same time (Saturday, September 25 at 8:30 a.m. EST) on whatever course you choose. The app will help you connect and compete with other registrants, there's even live music and a chat feature!

Where the Money Goes


All funds raised will benefit ZERO – The End of Prostate Cancer to raise awareness, education, and funds for prostate cancer patients and families. ZERO dedicates 85 cents of every dollar raised to research and programs.

Running Awards

Awards for the 5K run be given for Top Male and Top Female Overall Winner, as well as to the top three finishers in each age group for males and females.

Age groups are: 
1-19 
20-29
30-39
40-49
50-59
60-69
70+

Raffle prizes will also be given out from some of our local supporting companies!

COVID-19 Precautions

ZERO - The End of Prostate Cancer is taking the following safety precautions at our Run/Walk Events to protect our patients, survivors, family and friends from the COVID-19 virus and other variants. All participants, volunteers, and staff must follow mandatory guidelines to help control the spread of the disease.

  • Encourage social distancing between households
  • Any surfaces will be disinfected frequently and touch points will be reduced
  • Additional hand washing stations and/or hand sanitizer onsite
  • ZERO Employees, Volunteers and Sponsors are required to wear masks. All Participants are strongly encouraged to wear masks at start/finish and festival areas due to close proximity for periods of time. Masks can be taken off while out on the course running.
  • All food and beverages will be prepackaged

The CDC has identified the following symptoms of a COVID-19 infection. If you have one or more of these symptoms on the day of the event, please stay home. If you are waiting for COVID-19 test results or have had close contact with a person who has tested positive for or who has COVID-19 symptoms, please stay home unless you get a negative test result before the event.
