What if the weather is bad?

The ASCV 5K & Family Fun Day is a rain or shine event, and we will host it as planned unless there are dangerous weather conditions. There is no scheduled inclement weather date. Because the ASCV depends on this important fundraiser to support our local autism community, it is not our policy to issue refunds to participants who are unable to attend or if the event has to be cancelled.

Can I bring my dog?

Due to safety concerns on the race course, as well as a common fear of dogs for some participants with autism, we ask that no pets other than registered service animals attend the event.

Will food and drinks be available for purchase?

We will have food available for purchase from food trunk vendors: Local Cup, ValerEats, and Kona Ice! Additionally, we will provide water and post-race snacks for our 5K participants. Please bring a water bottle to refill your bottle throughout the day - no glass bottles, please.

Where do I park?

Parking guides will be available in the morning to direct traffic and ensure a quick parking process. VIP Parking will be available for our top fundraising teams. Accessible parking will also be available near the 5K start line and Resource Fair Area.

What is layout of the race course?

The Route Map can be found here.

May I walk the 5K?

Absolutely! Participants are welcome to walk the course. We just ask our walkers to line up to start behind our competitive runners.

Are strollers and wheelchairs allowed in the 5K?

Yes. We ask that runners/walkers with wheelchairs and strollers start the race towards the back so that these participants can move without hindrance. Your safety is our first priority. Please note that the course is accessible for wheels, but that some areas are gravel or grass.

Are vehicles such as golf carts, bicycles, or scooters allowed on the course?

No, for safety reasons we are unable to accommodate motorized vehicles of any type.

Are awards given out to top 5K finishers?

Yes, awards will be presented after the race to our top finishers in a variety of age and gender categories. Check out the Awards & Incentives page to learn more!

Will water and snacks be available to 5K runners after the race?

Yes, the ASCV will provide complimentary water and healthy snacks post-race to all participants.
