Join the 2nd oldest half marathon in Arizona sponsored by Kinney Construction Services! This year we are planning to hosting our 45th annual race in person on August 13th. In celebration of our 45th Annual race, we are offering medals to all in person HALF MARATHON finishers only. All in person participants (5k or half) will receive a $34 Sweatvac Hi-Tech colorful long-sleeved shirt. Kid's Dash participants will get a medal. We will also offer a virtual race that you can run anywhere or on course, and they will receive a Sweatvac race cap (to be sent after virtual race is over)!

New for this year will be a non-binary division for the Half Marathon and 5K. This will be one division in each race (no age groups) and you will see the radio button to identify yourself as a non-binary runner.

ONLINE REGISTRATION CLOSES AUGUST 11th, however, you can register the night before the race at Grand Canyon Adventures (400 South Malapais Lane). PLEASE NOTE WE WILL NOT HAVE RACE DAY REGISTRATION, only pre-registered race bib and shirt pick up!!!!! For those who wish to run virtually between August 13th and August 25th, we will be offering the free RaceJoy App that will allow you to follow the beautiful course that starts at Thorpe Park (do note no longer Wheeler Park!) and climbs the steep urban trail onto Observatory Mesa (where astronomers discovered Pluto) and follows dirt roads on with spectacular views of the San Francisco Peaks. Elevations range between 6957 ft at the start, to 7731 ft near the 7.5 mile mark! Most of the climbing is done over the first 1.25 miles, so pace yourself. If you are from lower elevations, heed the race director's advice and power walk!!!! You will easily make up the time over the rest of the course!  The 5K is also on Observatory Mesa. ALL proceeds benefit BBBSF Mentoring Programs that create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.
