Dec. 5th, 2026:
For our next session, we will head to The Ridgeview Open Space for a focused training run. This location offers a smooth and accessible path perfect for sharpening your speed and pacing as our race date nears. The route is rated easy and features a mostly moderate up and down elevation to maintain a high and consistent heart rate throughout the workout. It is an excellent choice for a controlled, high-effort session that prioritizes technical form and aerobic efficiency on a predictable surface.

Thats not all though! The value doesn't stop at the end of the trail.
Each run transitions into a high-level social gathering, providing the perfect environment to move beyond the trail, exchange deeper market insights, and cultivate lasting professional connections.
Afterward, the group will end up right back at LaBelle French Bakery to enjoy some celebratory Viennoiserie, Artisanal Breads, Muffins, or Scones featuring exceptional ingredients, disciplined technique, and relentless attention to detail.

THE ALPHA
HOME RUN DERBY
Official Competition Rules
- 10 Official Swings: You choose when to lock in your 10 competition swings during your cage time (take a warm-up swing or two first!).
- Total Competition Distance: The simulator records the distance of every valid hit. Your top 3 longest hits from your 10 official swings will be added together to create your final Derby Score.
- In-Bounds Hits: Distance counts on valid fair hits recorded by the system. Foul balls, misses, or strikes count toward your 10 official swings but score 0 for distance.
- The Champion: The player with the highest combined Total Competition Distance at the end of January takes home the grand prize!
BIAC Fundraising Extras
Keep the energy high and raise extra funds for BIAC during your session:
- Mulligans ($5 Donation): Swap out a miss or short hit during your 10 official derby swings for a fresh attempt!
Tie-Breakers
If there’s a tie for top distance at the end of the month:
- Single Longest Hit: Highest single-hit distance breaks a tie.
Event Experience & Open Play
- Your Time Slot: Every participant gets time in the virtual batting cage.
- Beyond the 10 Swings: Your time isn't limited to just 10 quick cuts! Before or after your official derby swings, enjoy open batting, test out different virtual stadiums, try mini-games like target practice or arcade modes, or just swing.
- All Skill Levels Welcome: Whether you're swinging for the fences or just having fun with friends, the session is built for an entertaining, high-energy environment supporting the Brain Injury Association of Colorado (BIAC).
