We are so excited for the return of Athena's Run for GYN Cancers!!! Rain or shine - we look forward to seeing YOU on Saturday morning, September 19th, at the Amphitheater at Tanglewood Park in Clemmons, NC.  

For driving directions to Tanglewood Park please visit their at Tanglewood Park. Please note that the main entrance to Tanglewood is off of Highway 158, right across from the shopping center with the Harris Teeter.

Enter Tanglewood through the main gate, and note the regular park entrance fee is waived for all Athena's Run participants. Uniformed officers will direct you to the parking area. Volunteer parking attendants will be available to assist you -- please alert them to any special needs you may have.     

The 5k race for all timed and untimed participants will start at 8:30 am, followed by the race awards ceremony at 9:45 am, survivors ceremony at 10:00am and raffles/giveways from 11:30am-12:00pm.  

 We encourage all participants to arrive early to enjoy all the fun activities happening this year before, during and after the 5k race! Throughout the morning we'll have music and entertainment provided by emcee Chuck Marsh. This year, the Warriors for Wellness Expo will feature 25+ vendors combining important health tips with lots of fun activities. Several vendors will have items for sell as well! There will also be a raffles and giveaways throughout the day!

Beefs Smokehouse, Sippity Sips Coffee and Sunset Slush Forsyth will be available throughout the day and have graciously agreed to donate a percentage of their profits from the event to Athena's Run for GYN Cancers. Please be sure to show them some love on Saturday!!

Sippity Sips Coffee will be there prior to registration opening for everyone's caffeine needs pre-race!

 

Attention 5K Race Participants:

 Please view the finalized race map that is pictured at the bottom of the screen. While there will be signage along the course to keep you on track, we recommend reviewing the race map to familiarize yourself with the course before the race!

Attention Survivors:

Upon arrival, please check in at the Survivor's tent for fun merchandise and free raffles just for you!

Packet Pick-up:

Packet pick-up will be available in advance on Friday, September 18, from 5:30-7:30pm at Fleet Feet in Hanestown Village, located at 278 Harvey St, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. You can also come register early if you have not alreaday signed up. 

All pre-registered participants are encouraged to pick up packets in advance to beat the crowd on event day, but if you can't make it out to Fleet Feet on Friday, packet pick-up will also be available on Saturday morning starting at 7:00 am. 5k race participants may register and pick up packets until right before race kickoff.

Final Registration:

If you still have friends and family who need to register for this year's event, note that online registration will be available through race day. Registration will be available at Fleet Feet on Friday evening during packet pick-up and onsite at Tanglewood on Saturday morning starting at 7:00am.

Funds raised through Athena's Run for GYN Cancers are used locally to support women diagnosed with gynecologic cancers, increase public awareness and education about these diseases, and support local and national research efforts.
