Participants in this event, must still sign up to be participants in the Bermuda Half Marathon Derby

This is a separate event organized with a specific fund raising objective which is not related, supported or associated in any way with the organization of the Bermuda Half Marathon Derby

Team Hope returns in 2026 in full force!

Now is your chance to run with a purpose to raise sponsorship on behalf of The Friends of Hope Academy. Whether you are an individual entrant or a team, we would love for you to help us meet our fundraising goal! 

Once signed up with Team Hope, each registrant will be able to collect a running shirt and share their individual or team registration page to gain donations toward a great cause! We also have Sponsorship Forms available for print should you prefer to collect cash donations, visit our website to download: https://www.friendsofhopeacademy.com/team-hope.

T-Shirt collection will be at Dame Marjorie Bean Hope Academy on Wednesday and Thursday the week of the Bermuda Half Marathon Derby on Friday, time to be announced closer to the date. There will be a tent with refreshments for participants with baked goods, fruit and soft drinks to enjoy after the race!

The Friends of Hope Academy is a registered Bermuda Charity that supports the Dame Marjorie Bean Hope Academy (DMBHA). Dame is a Government school that serves students with severe/profound multiple disabilities. 

The aim/goals of our charity are to: 

  • To provide support to the Dame Marjorie Bean Hope Academy in the implementation of its school improvement plan
  • To provide support to the Dame Marjorie Bean Hope Academy in the implementation of its curriculum and extra-curricular activities
  • To provide any other support or assistance to other individuals or organizations for purposes beneficial to the education and care of children with special needs
  • To assist with community projects that promote awareness, education and improving the lives of children with special needs

All funds raised directly support the children and families at Dame.

Team Hope are the Friends of Hope Academy
