Kids Obstacle Course
The Beach Fit Obstacle Run is a self-timed non-competitive event.
REGISTRATION INCLUDES:
- Unlimited runs of the Kids Course during your 25-minute wave
- A Finisher's Medal at the end of your wave (limited to first 300 registered kids)
- A Heck of a Good Time!
The Kids Division
The age range for children to participate in the Kids Fun Run is 5 to 11 years old. Youth under 5 are not permitted to participate. Youth older than 11 are not permitted on the kids course.
The $10 fee gets you unlimited runs of the kids obstacle course for a 25 minute window that you select when you register. Waves start at the top and half of every hour. The course will be cleared at XX:25 and XX:55 to make way for the next group. Medals will be distributed at the end of the time slot.
Beach Fit is a RAIN or SHINE EVENT. The Ocean City Beach Patrol (OCBP) controls access to the beach. In the case of lightning, the event will resume once the OCBP sounds the All Clear.
REGISTRATION
Registering is easy. Simply CLICK HERE and select the distance you want to run. The “SIGN UP” button will easily guide you through the registration process.
After you register, you will immediately receive an automated email confirmation. 1-2 weeks prior to the event, you will receive confirmation materials via email with specific instructions about the event day.

ABOUT THE KIDS COURSE
We’ll have a separate course with scaled down challenges designed for the younger crowd to show them that fitness can be fun! The Kids course is designed for kids age 5 to 11. No kids younger or older will be permitted on the Kids course. Each youngster will get a ”Finisher” medal for their efforts.
The course will start and finish at Dorchester Street Beach, home of the JellyFish Festival. You do not need a tickets to the JellyFish Festival to participate in the Beach Fit obstacle course. The kids course will consist of 6-8 kids sized obstacles, all build right on the sand. Competitors will run the course self timed. Kids will be released in small groups and the next group will be released after competitors reach the first obstacle. After a run, competitors will have the opportunity to complete the course again within your assigned 25-minute wave.
WATER STOPS
Participants are welcome to bring their own water on course with them. We will have water coolers on the course and water at the finish line to keep your hydration up during the day. If you need additional on course nutrition such as gel, please bring your own.
AFTER THE RACE – JELLYFISH FESTIVAL
The core of Jellyfish is the main stage, right off the Boardwalk in beautiful downtown Ocean City north of the pier, stretching to North Division Street, which will host three days and nights of top-level regional and national music acts. We also will be using the historic Ocean Bowl Skatepark as a music venue, with our tentacles also extending throughout Ocean City to private participating venues.
Jellyfish is more than just music. Located beside the main stage, you’ll find the Jellyfish Village. It will be five blocks of interactive, family-friendly activities and fun. It will include a Beach Fit fitness challenge, a skateboard and bicycle zone, a secondary music stage, as well as vendors and artists.
Not interested in Beach Fit? No worries! Just come to the JellyFish Festival. It's open to the public and tickets will be available for purchase. Come cheer on the runners and hang out at this year’s most unique event. Eat, drink and be merry!
