Course Info
Beaver Chase races at the beautiful McCloud Nature Park in Hendricks County. The course route is a 3.275 mile loop to provide a fun race for quarter, half, full, and relay participants to enjoy. The loop is a mix of sun and shade, grassland and forest trails, hills and flat terrain, and most importantly crosses the historic truss bridge. Participants will race it 2, 4, or 8 times to get the distance for their specific event up to a full marathon.
Course Description:
- 1k is ran on crushed gravel
- 2k is ran on short grass through reforestation areas of the park
- 2.5k is ran on dirt trails through reforestation and wooded areas
- Athletes will run 1, 2, 4, or 8 loops depending on the distance selected. It’s absolutely gorgeous. You have multiple views of Big Walnut Creek along the way.

Aid Stations: Participants will hit three aid stations every lap
- Aid Station 1: Start/Finish of each loop (Restrooms available)
- Aid Station 2: 0.25 Mile Mark just before crossing the iron truss bridge
- Aid Station 3: 1.85 Mile Marh after crossing the iron truss bridge
Aid Station 1 will have the following items for marathon participants: Water, Gatorade, Granola Bars, Pringles, Pretzels, Pickle Juice and any items you want set out for self aid
We will have the following items at Aid Stations 2 & 3: Water & Gatorade
