Course Map
Tour the beautiful grounds of Bowdoin Park!
Did you know there is more than just the fabled XC course to run on?
Well there is!
This is a 5-ish mile course covering most of the trails that are hidden behind the scenes in this gem of a park.
Starting on the soccer field, you sprint your ass across like turf like Braveheart. Follow the XC course for about a half mile. Then the fun starts and we turn on to the trails. Following the outer perimeter trails, you work your way up and down to the other end of the park. Once you start to loop your way back, you wind on the technical trails until you get back to the open area. Once you hit the dirt road, you get to fly on the mostly downhill way to the finish. Easy peasy.
Net elevation gain is 637 ft, with the far majority of it coming in the first 2.25 miles. Get through that and you can cruise along.
The footing is a mix of grass, dirt road and semi technical trail, but nothing you can't handle.
There are two small sections where the paths of outgoing and ingoing share the path, so just stay to the left of the trail and cheer on your fellow runners.
We're all in this together so let's support and help each other along!
