5k- 8:00am Start

Check in starts Saturday morning at 6:30am at Institution Ale Co. Show up early to get your bib, shirt and drink tokens (must be 21+ for tokens) At 0745, 5k runners will start working their way into the brewery. This is where all runners 21+ will receive their "toast" beer. Non-Alcoholic Beer and Root Beer will be available to those who wish to participate in the toast, but do not drink or are under 21. Avoid the temptation to drink it :) and head out of the tap room onto the patio for pre-race announcements and the pre run toast. Then shuffle your way to the start line (in the parking lot adjacent to the patio) where we will play the National Anthem and get you started. 

NOTE- All beer must be consumed before exiting the patio.

After you finish you will receive your WCTT finishers award. Water and a post-race snack will be provided. Feel free to work your way back to into the brewery to use your beer tokens. Discounted food and additional beer can be purchased by showing your bib :) Relax on the patio or cheer on the other finishers and be sure to stick around to watch the Beer Mile Relay! 

Beer Mile Relay- 9:15am Start

Alrighty, you speed demons. We are stoked for this race and hope you are too. Check in starts Saturday morning at 6:30am at Institution Ale Co. Show up early to get your bib, shirt, drink tokens (must be 21+ for tokens), and remember to bring your team's "anything but a baton". All members of the team must carry the "baton" as it will have your timing chip. After the 5k gets underway, team's will gather at westside of the building. Be sure to have a plan for who is going first, second, third and fourth on your team. All members of the team must complete their own 1-mile leg.

The Beer Mile Relay Format is as follows;

• At the gun, the first runner will drink a 12 oz beer (beer supplied by Institution Ale Co. No outside beer allowed) You must finish your beer before you leave the Chug Zone. You must also walk out of the patio to join the route and complete your 1-mile lap.
• Upon return, you will conect up with your second runner and walk through the back side of the brewery patio. First runner finishes their second 12 oz beer. Then hand off your baton, second runner drinks their first beer, walks out of the patio to run their mile.
• The pattern continues for the whole team.
• As the fourth and final runner reenters the back side of the patio, and finishes their second 12 oz beer.  All members of the team will join them to exit the patio and sprint across the finish line together. First team across the line wins.
• All relay runners will receive a finishers award.
• Fastest Team takes ALL! 

1 minute penalty for any team member blowing chunks inside the patio or parking lot- We will have plenty of trash cans nearby should this happen though so no worries. It’s all in fun.

1 minute penalty for any team member RUNNING through the patio.
