Check-in-
Will start at 0630 and close at 0745 for the 5k so we can get the races going on time. Don't be late. Why not show up early :)

- 2 Half Pint Drink Tokens *Valid after you run and this event only. **must be over 21+ to receive drink tokens
What you need to bring;

- Cash/ Credit card- We will have some basic post-race snacks available, but do bring some form of payment so you can enjoy the awesome food the brewery has available.
- Great attitude- this is for fun, if you are not having fun, you literally are doing wrong.
Addtional Notes/Rules
5k
At 0745, we will start to announce for all 5k runners to start working their way into the brewery. This is where all runners 21+ will receive their "toast" beer. Non-Alcoholic Beer and Root Beer will be available to those who wish to participate in the toast, but do not drink or are under 21. Avoid the temptation to drink it :) and head out of the tap room onto the patio for pre-race announcements.
At 0755 we will go over a couple of boring but important pre-race announcements, national anthem, along with our pre run toast. Getting you promptly started at 8am, shuffle your way to the start line in the parking lot adjacent to the patio and crush your 5k! NOTE- All beer must be consumed before exiting the patio.
After you finish you will receive your awesome WCTT finishers award. You are then free to help yourself to some basic snacks or work your way into the brewery for your free beer and discounted food. Take your bib with you :)
Relay Mile
Some of this info may have been repeated elsewhere on the website- but we want to drive these final points home :)
- All 4 team members must be present to check in.
- Each team must provide their "Anything But a Baton" (see baton rules and ideas below)
- Your team's timing chip will be attached to this item. It must be carried throughout the race and properly handed off between runners.
- No outside beer is allowed. All beer will be provided by IAC.
- All beer must be consumed inside the designated Insitution Ale Chug Zone
- No forward progress may be made until your beer is completely finished.
Walking only in the Patio and Beer Drinking Area. No running. You may be tempted --DONT DO IT! -- 1 minute penalty to any team caught running in the patio area!
Relay Mile Flow:
Before the Start
- Runner 1 will begin inside the patio in the Chug Zone
Runners 2, 3, and 4 will stage in the corral on the west side of the building.
Once we Start
- Runner 1 drinks and finishes their first 12oz beer. Then heads out on their 1-mile lap carrying the team's "anything but a baton."
- As Runner 1 approaches the finish of their lap, Runner 2 joins them from the Start Corral and together they walk through the patio to the Institution Ale Chug Zone.
- Runner 1 drinks and finishes their second 12oz beer and then hands off the baton to Runner 2.
- Runner 2 then drinks and finishes their first 12oz beer and heads out on their 1-mile lap.
- Runner 1 exits the Beer Drinking Area and stages in the Finish Holding Corral on the east side of the building.
The same process repeats for runners 3 and 4:
Drink-Run-Drink-Hand Off
- Once Runner 4's second beer is complete, all four team members reunite and cross the finish line together.
The fastest team time wins.
Winner takes all. Bragging rights are forever.
Puke Penalty
If you or any of your team members vomit anywhere inside the Patio, Beer Drinking Area or parking lot area, a 1-minute penalty will be given to your team.We will have buckets at the ready.
"Anything But A Baton" Rules
- Teams must provide their own baton.
- The baton must be carried for the entire race and handed off between teammates at each exchange.
- We encourage creativity! Funny, ridiculous, and themed batons are highly encouraged.
- Batons must be safe to carry and safe for other participants, volunteers, and spectators.
Nothing hazardous, dangerous, sharp, breakable, explosive, flammable, or otherwise unsafe, nor could cause injury or damage to people or property are permitted.- Race staff reserve the right to inspect any baton and make the final determination on whether it is permitted. If a baton is deemed unsafe or inappropriate, the team will be required to replace it before starting. We will have some backup options provided.

When in doubt, ask yourself: "Would this make people laugh without sending anyone to the emergency room?" If the answer is yes, you're probably on the right track.
Good Baton Ideas: pool noodle, inflatable flamingo, giant toothbrush, rubber chicken, toy sword (plastic), stuffed animal, plastic garden gnome, oversized spatula, hobby horse.
