Description

From the Central Valley to the sea, the Feat to the Beach Relay will provide you with 200+ miles of great memories. Your finish line will be right on the beach front at Pismo Beach. Your team will consist of a maximum of 12 people (4 person minimum) team and rotate through 36 transition areas as you seek out those ocean waves. Each relay team member runs 3 legs (minimum) of varying lengths and difficulty and will cover an average total distance of ~16.6 miles (for a 12 person team). The runners rotate in a set order once the race begins and will be obligated to follow this rotation until the final runner reaches the finish line at Pismo Beach.

The Feat to the Beach starts at the Fresno Clovis Rail Trail at Nees and 41 Highway underpass. The course will quickly lead out of the big city and follow scenic, country roads as it winds through many small rural towns, on your way to the central coast. The finish line will be on the beach where you will be able to rest & recover with your toes in the sand.

Extra Volunteers Earn Races!
 
Teams have always been required to provide two volunteers, our "buy" two volunteers. 
 
For teams that have additional volunteers, we can provide a credit of $50 per volunteer towards either this years race, or next years event. 
 
A volunteer who works two volunteer locations over the weekend will give a credit of $100 to the team.   
 
Volunteers get a free Feat to the Beach sweatshirt.  For more information, contact us.

Half Team Options

Not everyone can find 12 friends to run with...  now you can register a "half team" of 6 runners. 
Your team can pair up with another half-team.  Each half team will organize their own van for 6 runners and provide 1 volunteer.

Start Times

 

Each van has a scheduled start time. 


If a van is behind schedule, the alternate van will still start on time, keeping all of the teams on schedule for an early afternoon finish/party in Pismo. 
Team times are calculated based on the sum of the times for  each runner. 
The slowest team starts after 6:30am, The fastest team starts before 12:30pm, everyone arrives between 2:00pm and 4:00pm in Pismo.

Break the Barriers is proud to provide Veterans of all abilities with a state-of-the-art facility, certified staff, elite level equipment, and an inclusive environment for general fitness and competition. Veterans are empowered to find new ability and purpose, with opportunities to compete in various events such as the Golden Age Games, Valor Games, Paralympics, and Wheelchair Games. Break the Barriers is also a member of the Paralympic Sport Club and is listed in the National Veterans Adaptive Sports Directory. With the professional help and dedication of 82 certified coaches and over 500 caring volunteers annually, programs are provided 6 days a week.
