Baker To Vegas was started by a Los Angeles Police Officer in 1985 and has been an annual police relay that continues to foster departmental comradery ever since.   Today’s race attracts departments from around the world and over 6,000 participants and volunteers.  The Long Beach Police Department has participated in the race for over twenty years. Last year, over 100 officers and volunteers participated in the race and placed 25th out of 235 teams.  The race is a 120-mile relay from Baker, California to Las Vegas, Nevada where officers run through the day and night enduring rugged climates and conditions.

This year LBPD has one relay team that needs your help with entry fees, accommodations, transportation, and equipment.  All funds will support each runner as they make their way to Vegas in March.

We are seeking participants and sponsors in the race to raise funds and continue supporting to the ongoing success of this important program.
