Description
Free Clinic: "Mastering Transition"
Triathletes spend hours training for technique optimization of fitness in the swim, bike, and run. However, often overlooked are the transitions: the period between each of the three athletic components.
An efficient transition can mean a PR, while being less prepared and disorganized can cost an athlete precious time and quite a bit of mental distress.
Come learn from Faron Reed, a local triathlete who has competed in 45 Ironman (140.6) competitions and qualified 10 times to go to the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii. Faron will be demonstrating a proper transition set up. Giving tips and tricks for improving your transition time and becoming more comfortable swimming in a wetsuit.
Optionally do a 6 mile bike ride, short run, and practice transitions. If you have a multisport watch this is a good time to practice using your multisport mode or other race day set ups you will have. Participants should bring all race day gear including their bike to practice transitions.
Due to restrictions at the park we will not be able to enter the water during the clinic.
This clinic is limited to the first 36 participants to register.

Coming Soon: Millerton Lake Triathlon
The Millerton Lake Sprint Triathlon (April 28th) has long been known as a great "first lake swim" triathlon, and a warm up for the upcoming season. But don't let the bike and run distances fool you, there are a few steep hills on the ride, and the trail portion of run is a challenge.
More of a good thing... The Olympic Distance has a more challenging swim, two loops of the bike course, and two loops of the run course with a trail run heading out, a paved road coming back and beautiful Millerton Lake as the backdrop.
An event for everyone! In addition to the Sprint and Olympic Triathlons, the Millerton Lake Triathlon offers a Duathlon, Aquabike and both a 5k and 10k run.
