Event Description
Join Lassen Land and Trails Trust as we showcase the region's premiere trail system with the 31st Annual Paiute Meadows Trail Run! The 4.5-mile course is the traditional cornerstone of all four distances as it twists and turns through towering pines, beautiful meadows and challenging climbs. The 50K, 50K Relay, 30K, and half-marathon (13.7) courses rival any true trail race in the region, with challenging climbs, water crossings, and a variety of terrain. Almost exclusively on single-track trails, runners experience breathtaking views as they run through a variety of beautiful landscapes. This is a MUST-DO race for trail runners around the entire region. For teams wishing to do the 50K relay, Leg 1 follows the 30K course and is 18.6 miles. Leg 2 resumes the course at the start/finish line area in the main parking lot and follows the second loop of the 50K course which is approximately 13.1 miles. Don't forget the FREE 1-Mile Kids' trail race for kids 12 and under and Lassen College's Special Olympians, as well! RACE PACKET PICKUP
Race packet pickup will be hosted at the Susanville Historic Train Depot, 601 Richmond Road on Friday May 7 from 10 AM to 6 PM. LATE ONLINE REGISTRATION WILL END ON FRIDAY NIGHT AT 11:59 PM (shirt not guaranteed for any late registrants). For those runners who are driving in on race morning, we will have race packet pickup at Susanville Ranch Park starting at 6 AM. There will be absolutely NO race day registration. Once again, our FANTASTIC vendor CrossFreedom Custom Apparel will be offering an exclusive hoodie or crewneck for this year's Paiute Meadows Trail Run! Pre-order yours BY MONDAY MAY 3 and pick it up at RACE PACKET PICKUP on Friday, May 7th or Race Day on May 8th! YOUTH PRICING
Age-based prices are available for each event except for the 50K relay. Prices are for our youth participants ages 6-14 years old and are applied at checkout. Discounts are as follows: 11/25/2026 through 1/31/27 - $20, 2/1/2027 through 4/14/2027 - $25, April 15 through May 7 - $30.
1-Mile FREE Kids Trail Race
This one-mile course is a perfect distance for younger kids. For kids age 12 and under who wish to run the FREE 1-mile trail race, signups will be on Friday at packet pickup and Saturday morning at the race until 8:00 AM. An adult is welcome to run with a child but we encourage them not to physically assist the child unless absolutely necessary.

AID STATIONS
THIS IS A CUPLESS RACE ** Our Aid stations are stocked with water and Hammer Nutrition's Heed electrolyte drink, Hammer gels, and other snacks such as, bananas, oranges, potato chips, pickles, fruit gummies, M&Ms, ginger Ale and cola. As a Trail Sisters-approved event, feminine hygiene products are also available at all Aid Stations. Our Aid Stations are staffed by incredibly dedicated community volunteers who will take good care of you out on the course!
LASSEN LAND AND TRAILS TRUST
Lassen Land and Trails Trust has been working for over a quarter of a century to conserve rich and diverse natural areas and agricultural landscapes, which support water resources, habitats and scenic vistas that make Lassen County ‘home’ for people and wildlife. The Trust also works to enhance and promote a dynamic network of regional trails for all to enjoy. Through a wide variety of educational programs, LLTT hosts youth camps, and classes and workshops for all ages…educating stewards for today and tomorrow! LLTT co-manages Rails to Trails systems on the Bizz Johnson Trail, as well as, managing the Modoc Line Rail Trail and the Lassen Creek Conservation Area, providing miles and miles of recreational opportunities. The Trust also hosts the Annual Rails to Trails Festival in October and the Summer Farmer's Market. Along with your race entry, you will have the exciting opportunity to partner with us in promoting resource conservation, recreational opportunities, and community events!
