This Arvada event supports the Arvada Community Food Bank.
Join us on the Saturday before Thanksgiving as we race a 10k trek up the Ralston Creek Trail, starting from Long Lake Ranch Regional Park.
This is a trek worth bragging rights, as the hill at mile 2 is nothing to gobble at! Wear your pride with the gender specific Turkey Trek Tech T!
Not up for the whole trek? Join the 2k Turkey Toddle with the "Fill Your Pie Hole" Challenge at the 1k turnaround mark! For turkeys in training who can't quite handle the 10k yet - come join us for the 2k Turkey Toddle!! (Although the 2k is untimed, the top 3 male and female finishers to cross the line will be recognized!)
The Arvada Community Food Bank is our charity partner for this event. Help them stock the food pantry by bringing at least 5 non-perishable food items on race day. The donation table will be by the 3W Races tent. For every 5 items you donate, you’ll receive a raffle ticket

17850 W 64th Avenue, Arvada, Colorado is the approximate address.
From Boulder and points north, take Hwy 93 SOUTH to Arvada’s 64th Pkwy. As of 11/20/2013, the actual road sign designating ‘64th Pkwy’ was missing. Therefore, pay attention to the signs that say “Arvada”! The turn will be before North Table Mountain and there will be a large (3 Story), beige colored water tank in the northeast corner of the intersection. Turn left onto 64th Pkwy and travel 1 mile to the driveway entrance of the Long Lake Ranch Regional Park on your right. While you are traveling for that mile, you will pass the North Area Athletic Complex and, an additional entrance to Long Lake Ranch Park which is gated on your right, a Dog Park and a Disc Golf Course on your left.
From Golden and points south, take Hwy 93 NORTH to Arvada’s 64th Pkwy. Turn right onto 64th Pkwy and travel 1 mile to the driveway entrance of the Long Lake Ranch Regional Park on your right. While you are traveling for that mile, you will pass the North Area Athletic Complex and, an additional entrance to Long Lake Ranch Park which is gated on your right, a Dog Park and a Disc Golf Course on your left.
Those of you who have raced with us before know that we run a cup free finish area. We’ll have drinking water available for filling your bottle. Please remember to bring a water bottle. Feel free to run with your water or, as many do, leave it at the finish line water station to pick up after you’re done running. 10k runners will pass two water stations. You can refill your bottle at the station, and there will be some cups at the station as well.
There is NO water station for the 2k Toddle.
This challenge is completely OPTIONAL! Grab a 5 ounce cup of egg nog (non-alcoholic, but filled with dairy!) from a volunteer at the station. (Mile 3 of the 10k) The volunteer will record your bib number after you’ve consumed the complete 5 ounces. We’ll have a SEPARATE raffle just for those who chose to stop and chug the nog! This station is sponsored by Road Runner Sports who has given a free pair of shoes for the Egg Nog Chug Raffle! Results from that raffle will be posted at the 3W Tent after the last racer has passed the nog station. You may not earn extra raffle tickets by drinking more egg nog. There is a water station right after the nog station, so you can chase the dairy with some good old water!
At 1k left in the 10k race, (or at the turn around for the 2k Toddle) you will encounter the 'Fill Your Pie Hole' challenge station. Eat one piece of pumpkin pie (with your hands - no forks provided) and again, we'll record your bib number and enter you in a raffle for even more prizes! Results will be posted at the 3W Tent upon your return! One piece per runner, please. There is no water station after the pie - so be ready to taste the pumpkin all the way back to the finish! Both 10k and 2k runners may opt to participate in this challenge.
