QUESTION: What is a Forty Day Challenge and how does it work?

• ANSWER: What a fun way to honor God, Chosen style! This is a great way to combine physical activity with prayer, reflection and faith-based encouragement. A pamphlet guide is included in your packet to record daily your physical activity and your scripture.

QUESTION: This is a Walk/Run/Roll Challenge. What if I want to do another type of exercise?

• ANSWER: For this challenge, it doesn’t matter if you are new to physical activity or a seasoned runner or walker, this program is built for you! One mile/day (or 20 minutes of any type of physical exercise is perfect)! If you know how to Ride a Donkey, that’s an extra Bonus! 

QUESTION: How do I sign up?

• ANSWER:  Click on the Sign Up button on the top of this webpage when registration is open!

QUESTION: What ways can I participate in the 40 Day Challenge?

• ANSWER: There are 3 options for signing up! 
• Option 1, Register for “The Chosen Challenge” and start your daily journey. You’ll receive your packet in the mail in September 
• Option 2, Register for “The Chosen Challenge.” If you feel moved, are able to make a One Time Donation that directly funds Season 7. 
• Option 3, Our Favorite! The PLEDGE Challenge. Register for “The Chosen Challenge” AND take your challenge to the next level! Commit to a fundraising pledge during the 40-day challenge. No pledge is too big or small in God’s eyes. We will walk you through it every step of the way. It’s a fun way to encourage others in your excitement during your spiritual journey. Facebook is the main platform. 

QUESTION: What’s included in the Challenge Packet we will be receiving?

• ANSWER: In the packet are the Chosen themed Shirt, the Challenge Medal, Event Bib and the Forty Day Challenge Guide that walks you through your spiritual journey. There are some Surprises too! Stay Tuned! 

QUESTION: Can I ask others to join in The Challenge?

• ANSWER: Absolutely YES! Challenges like this provide encouragement, motivation and discussion through your daily journey. It’s also important to lift each other up when we are challenged in our workouts. Every day brings on new joy. 

QUESTION: What if I want to encourage a “Group” to join the Challenge? (church, bible study, friends, neighbors, business etc…)

• ANSWER: Group participation builds morale, is highly engaging, provides encouragement is great for accountability. All while sharing your faith with each other. Go and Tell! 

QUESTION: Is there a minimum number of participants to form a Group?

• ANSWER:  Yes, to be considered a Group, there must be a minimum of 8 participants.

QUESTION: Is there a Discount if a Group signs up for The Challenge?

• ANSWER: Yes, there is! Email us at Jim@Marathonpacing.com. Each registration receives $5 off registration. We will issue a Registration Code specifically for your group. One person will be designated as the “Challenge Coordinator.” 

QUESTION:  How does the Group Challenge work?

• ANSWER: We will provide the Challenge Coordinator with a Registration Code specific to your group. This will also be your “Discount Code.” Share the code with each member of your group. Each will receive a $5 discount during check-out at the end of the registration process. Once group registration is Complete, the Coordinator will receive ALL Challenge Packets in one (1) box. The Coordinator will facilitate distribution of the packets.

QUESTION: During registration, choosing my shirt size.

• ANSWER: The shirts are a wicking fiber blend. Sizing is Unisex.

QUESTION: I want to choose the “Pledge” option and support The CHOSEN Season 7, but I’ve never asked people for money before. How does it work?

• ANSWER: Once you commit to a Pledge, CAS will send you a Support Email. It will guide you every step of the way, including fundraising ideas, messaging post suggestions and helpful tips throughout the 40 Day Challenge. You will also receive Challenge images that can be uploaded onto Facebook and other social media platforms.

QUESTION: What are easy ways to share with others I am participating in The Challenge?

• ANSWER: Wear your Challenge T-Shirt on your walks/runs during your physical activity or even out in the community. The Challenge Logo gives us the motivation and strength to achieve our goals. When people ask, it’s an easy way to share your story! Go and Tell.

QUESTION: When does the Challenge officially begin and end?

• ANSWER: Start anytime after your packet arrives.  The 40 days are yours to set.

QUESTION:  What if I miss a day during The Challenge?

• ANSWER: Rest is an act of Faith. Rest Days matter too! Honoring rest reflects trust in God’s provision and reminds us that our worth is not based on productivity but trust in him. 

QUESTION: What if I want to participate with people who live outside the U.S., or are in the Military?

• ANSWER: The current shipping setup is for the continental United States.  We are working on installing a system so we can ship the packets anywhere in the world, and through the military postal system.  We will post an announcement when this is complete.

QUESTION: Where does the money go?

• ANSWER: 100% of all donations and pledges go directly to Come and See, meaning together, we can bring all seven seasons of The Chosen to the world, ensuring it is produced, translated, and shared freely, so the entire world can encounter Jesus through the show.
• Registration fees cover operational expenses and Come and See receives 70% of excess funds.

QUESTION: Are my donations / Pledges Tax Deductible?

• ANSWER: YES!  Come and See Foundation is recognized by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.  All gifts are fully tax-deductible to the extent allowed by your country of residence. Tax ID: 88-3013171 No goods or services were received by the donor in exchange for this contribution.

FUNDRAISING FAQs

 

QUESTION: How do I donate to the Chosen?

• ANSWER: During the registration process you will have an opportunity add a donation to your registration.

QUESTION: Do I have to donate to the Chosen?

• ANSWER: No.  Just registering shows that you support the work of the Come and See Foundation.  While a donation is also appreciated, it's not required.

 QUESTION: What is a Fundraiser?

• ANSWER: A Fundraiser has an opportunity to ask friends for donations to support the Chosen.  During the registration process you will have an opportunity to identify yourself as a Fundraiser if you wish.  You can then set a fundraising goal, and create your own unique URL that you can send to your friends so they can contribute to your goal.

QUESTION: If I have friends that want to donate but don't want to participate in The Chosen Challenge, how do the do that?

• ANSWER: The easiest way is for you to give them your unique RunSignUp fundraising URL and they can contribute to your goal.
