Description
Our 29th Annual YMCA Turkey Trot 5K and Kids’ Tiny Trot have been family holiday traditions for years! This 5k annually attracts over 4,000 participants to start off their Thanksgiving Day! All proceeds from the Turkey Trot 5K benefit the YMCA and provide support to a family or individual in need.
Furry Friends
Furry Friends are welcome to run with their human friend who is registered for the 5k! Furry Friends must be leashed, current on shots, and well behaved. Human friend must pick up after Furry Friends. Furry friends will receive a Turkey Trot 5K bandana and a treat! Don't worry, your time starts when you cross the starting line and end when you cross the finish line. When registering for your run make sure you find the Furry Friend add on for $15.

You'll have a great time while making it possible for your friends and neighbors in need to access membership and programs at the Y. The YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region has been serving residents in our area for over 148 years by building strong kids, strong families and strong communities. Thanks for being a crucial part in our success!

Volunteer Opportunities
We need help in many areas during packet pick up and on race day all along the course! Click here to sign up to volunteer for many different jobs! Register by November 1 and receive a race hoodie. Hoodies given out on race morning.
Awards
- The top three male and female competitors in each division will bring home the gold, silver, or bronze Turkey Trot medal.
- Award Ceremony will be held near the finish line. Top 3 overall Male and Female at 9:45AM. Top 3 in each age category will be shortly after once most participants are in.

Love The YMCA 5K Series? Do a YMCA 5K per month during the holidays. SAVE BIG when you complete ALL 3- Creepy Crawl, Turkey Trot and Jingle Jog and we will reward you with the 2026 Commemorative Race Series gift! You must register for the 5K Series Bundle event, not each race individually, by October 24, 2026 in order to eligible.
