Description
The Grin & Bear It is Crested Butte’s oldest trail challenge. What began as a sprint to Green Lake and back has evolved into a classic 25K Loop competition, while still offering the traditional 15K race.
Back for 2027: Grin & Bear It BIKE!
The bike route follows the 25K run course, excluding the 0.7-mile out-and-back section to Green Lake. The result is a challenging 14.83-mile ride with just under 4,000 feet of climbing.
For the runners, we’ll have brunch waiting after the race. If you finish after noon, you’ll receive a Mikey’s voucher for a slice of pizza and a drink.
If you’re looking for frills, look somewhere else. If you’re looking for a small, grassroots event with big mountain views and plenty of Type 2 fun, you found it.
