Details

Volunteers in this role will meet at CB Nordic to pick-up the equipment and will take the CBN van to Wildcat Rd. From there they will hike ~1.75 miles to the aid station. At the lake, use supplies to filter water into collapsable jugs. During the race, distribute aid and record bib numbers.

Some aid station volunteers will be relocated .35 miles from green lake (where the 25k and 15k routes meet) from 12-2pm to assist with aid support for the bike).

Sweeps

Two sweeps are needed for this event. Sweep 1 will start at the Baxter Gulch trailhead and will follow behind the last mountain biker collecting course markings along the route. Must be able to run or bike the course, and willing to collect course flags and signage along the way. Sweep 1 will be relieved of their sweeping duties at Green Lake Aid Station where sweep 2 will take over. Sweeps will be given a radio that can be used to call for medical support if you encounter an injured racer. Contracted medical personnel in the field will provide aid.

Details

Collect supplies from CB Nordic. Take them to your post to set up and direct racers for the run and bike.
Volunteer 1: End of Journey’s End Road and Hwy 135 intersection. Put cones on Hwy separating traffic from running/bike lane to Baxter Trailhead Rd. Put a Race in progress sign on Hwy near Journey's End Rd. Direct runners and bikers up highway.

Volunteer 2: Hwy 135- Direct racers into lot toward Baxter's trailhead.

There will be a gap between the run and bike. You are welcome to come back to CBN to help set up the finish area during this time, or you can leave and return at 10:50 for the bike.

Times:
7:35am- collect supplies from CB Nordic
7:45am arrive at post and set-up cones
8:00 am 8:40am- direct runners
8:45am-10:50am- BREAK
11:00- 11:30am- Direct MTB racers
Clean-up supplies and return to nordic
