Description

EARLY REGISTRATION FOR 1 MONTH ONLY! $25 FOR RUNNERS & FITNESS WALKERS AND SPECIAL GROUP DISCOUNT!
The DK Movement Cares 5K Run aims to bring the community together, participate in a physical activity, and support a common cause that is meaningful to them. For our First Annual 5K Run, a portion of the proceeds raised will go to
The Agape House Homeless Outreach of Bristol and The Bristol Special Olympics.

Why Support These Two Organizations

The Bristol Special Olympics
Physical activity and socialization are crucial for everyone's well-being, including individuals with disabilities. Without regular exercise and social interaction, they may experience negative consequences such as poor physical health, increased risk of chronic diseases, reduced mobility, decreased self-esteem, and social isolation. However, regular exercise can improve physical health, mental health, socialization, and self-confidence, which are all essential for a happy and fulfilling life. This is why supporting the Bristol Special Olympics is important because it provides Special Olympics for individuals with disabilities, which has a positive impact on physical and mental health, promotes inclusion, builds self-confidence, foster community, and advocate for disability rights.
The Agape House Homeless Outreach of Bristol
Giving to the homeless is crucial because it addresses basic human needs, reduces poverty and inequality, and improves overall societal well-being. Certain groups, such as veterans, youth, and individuals with disabilities, are disproportionately affected by homelessness. Homeless individuals are also more likely to experience physical and mental health problems, and the average life expectancy for someone experiencing homelessness is just 50 years. However, providing supportive housing and support services can help reduce homelessness and improve outcomes for individuals. This is why we need your support to help the Agape House Homeless Outreach continue to help those in need.
