2nd Annual DK Movement Cares 5K Run/Walk

Join us at the expanded and enhanced DK Movement Cares 5K Run/Walk—a celebration of athleticism and community spirit, all in support of the Bristol Special Olympics. This isn't just a race; it's a powerful opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of extraordinary athletes.

Event Details:

**Date:** August 24, 2024  

**Time:** Registration and Check-in from 7:00 AM - 8:30 AM, Race starts at 9:00 AM  

**Venue:** The Bridge Community Church, 43 School Street, Bristol, CT  

Following last year’s enthusiastic feedback, we’ve made significant upgrades to this year's race. The course is now USATF certified, ensuring a top-notch racing experience for competitive runners and casual participants alike. 

Why Run?

Beyond the challenge and the thrill of the race, your participation directly supports the Bristol Special Olympics. This year, our goal is to raise $50,000 to fund an entire year of enriching programs for these inspiring athletes. Every stride you take helps enhance their training, competition, and development.

Overall Male and Female Winners:

 **1st Place:** $300 & Medal

**2nd Place:** $150 & Medal

**3rd Place:** $75 & Medal

Special Categories and Group Challenges:

New Category:** Running Club vs. Running Club

Traditional Competitions:** Team vs. Team, School vs. School, Gym vs. Gym

King and Queen of the Hill:** Top 15 finishers compete for $100 and a plaque in a challenging hill competition.

Registration Perks:

Participation medal for all, first 200 registrants receive an upgraded t-shirt and a special swag bag.

**Runners:** $30 + signup fee

 **Fitness Walkers:** $25 + signup fee
