Description
The Community Fund of Darien's 'Darien Road Race' - presented by Mirador, LLC - is an education and fundraising event for social services and youth-related programs and initiatives in Darien, Norwalk, and Stamford. In the 41st annual running of this event, all proceeds will benefit a population that has been hit especially hard by the pandemic - our youth.
Together, we can mobilize resources to strengthen our community!
Your registration for the 1.5-mile Fun Run Loop or the 5-mile run is the first step in making a difference. Non-runners are encouraged to participate as fundraisers. Thank you!
Vital youth programs and services - feeding children who are on free/reduced lunch programs over the weekend, mobile response to 2-1-1 mental health crisis calls, birth-to-3 care, afterschool enrichment activities, and more - warrant a 'do-more' approach. Can we count on you, and more importantly, can our youngest neighbors count on you?
Ready to take it to the next level?
- Create an individual fundraising campaign and set a monetary goal. Every dollar matters, and it all adds up! Then, share your championing goal with friends, family, neighbors and co-workers so that they can support your efforts - $10, $15, $20 from your 'peeps' will get you to your goal!
Ready to truly make a collective impact for good?
- With your individual fundraising campaign in motion, become a leader that everyone will want to follow by forming a team and affect change in a profound way!
- Rally your co-workers for a feel-good bonding experience
- Consider enlisting friends and families from your church or your children's school or sports team
- Switch things up and challenge your tennis and golf buddies
- Last, but not least, get your extended family in the game
The Darien Road Race - presented by Mirador, LLC - consists of two races - 1.5 mile Fun Run Loop, and 5 mile run.
*** Receive $20 refund when you refer five people to the race ***

Noteworthy:
- Runners will run with traffic due to several blind curves throughout Delafield Island. On the return section of the race, once runners reach Goodwives River Road, they will be directed to run against traffic until they reach the finish line. Roads will not be completely closed to traffic during the race so runners will be sharing the road with vehicles.
- Participant safety is priority one for The Community Fund of Darien, and as such, we are actively monitoring the COVID variant. We will follow in-place safety guidelines and any future governmental mandates.
