JOIN US AS WE KICK OFF CINCO DE MAYO WEEKEND IN STYLE ON MAY 2. It’s a great way to warm up for the celebration on the 5th!

The 5k distance run (or walk) will begin at the High Plains Community Center. WE WILL BE USING  OUR 5k (3.11mi) COURSE that was used the last two years. It is  DIFFERENT FROM ALL THE OTHER EVENTS THAT START THERE. This 5K distance is a timed event and awards are given for our male & female champions as well as the top three M&F finishers in each age group.  Please click on the event information page for details.

Course map link: (you can walk the 5k distance and you will be timed)

Our ONE MILE WALK starts at the same location and time as the 5k distance. This one mile distance is NOT timed and there are no awards. The course is entirely on the campus of the community center and does not travel on any roads. It is very family friendly and all abilities are welcome.

The free KIDS HOT PEPPER SCAMPER. starts at the 3 mile mark of the 5k and runs to the finish line (1/10 mi). We ask that the child be 5th grade or younger. A parent or adult can accompany the little tyke if it helps them to run. There are no awards for this free event- only finisher ribbons.

We also offer a VIRTUAL RUN for those who want to support the cause but can't be with us.

Our fabulous and well known Gecko-design Dri-fit T-shirts will be given to the first 200 registrants (or April 24-  whichever comes first). After that sizes are "as available" (or not and could be leftovers from previous years). So Pre-Register EARLY to get one of these great shirts. DON’T GET SHUT OUT!

Our events benefit the Orange Chamber of Commerce and the programs it funds in the community.
