The Hayfield Hustle on Saturday, September 26, is still on! The post-race celebration will welcome registered runners and their accompanying family members who purchased Oktoberfest tickets.

Races will start promptly:

• Children’s Sap Run: 9:30 a.m.
• 5-Mile and 5K races: 10 a.m.

The post-race celebration ends promptly at 1 p.m. Please arrive early to park and check in, and dress for the weather with layers, rain protection and appropriate footwear. Runners are encouraged to bring dry clothes. We will continue monitoring conditions and notify registered runners directly if plans change.

Family Oktoberfest for the general public, scheduled for 1–4 p.m., is canceled due to anticipated inclement weather. With a potential nor’easter forecast to bring rain and gusty winds, we are concerned about afternoon walking and parking conditions. Our community’s safety comes first, and we sincerely apologize for the disappointment and inconvenience.

If you purchased Oktoberfest-only Adult ($38.10) or Child ($16.90) tickets and will not be attending the morning celebration, please consider donating your purchase to support New Pond Farm’s mission. Your generosity helps sustain our educational programs and the care of our animals and land.

We will also gladly provide a full refund upon request. Please email info@newpondfarm.org or call 203-938-2117 by Wednesday, September 30, to request a refund or confirm your donation. Refunds must be requested by this deadline; they will not be issued automatically. These options do not apply to race registrations.

If you choose to donate your ticket purchase, we invite you to pick up your swag bag at the farm on Friday, September 25, from 4–7 p.m.
