Unfortunately, there is no deferment provision for our events and like most non-profits, the Virginia Capital Trail Foundation has an established no-refund event policy. Our registration waiver/policy is outlined below.
Our registration waiver states “registrations are non-refundable, non-transferable, and may not be deferred to another year. The Cap Trail Classic takes place rain or shine. In case of severe weather, VCTF reserves the right to cancel/alter/modify the race for safety concerns. We do not refund race fees, transfer registration to another year, or transfer registration to other racers. In the unlikely case the run is canceled, you may claim your registration fee as a tax-deductible donation.”
We would be more than happy to provide you with a letter confirming your tax-deductible donation to the VCTF if the event is canceled or you are not able to participate for any reason. We also encourage registrants to shift their participation to virtual in the case of cancellation or missing the event.
Packet Pick-Up
There are two options for Packet Pick-Up. It is essential that you select the Packet Pick-Up Date you plan on attending during registration. If your plans change as the event gets closer, you will have until Friday, October 16th to update your Packet Pick-Up location by following the instructions on this guide created by RunSignUp.
