IMPORTANT EVENT UPDATE:
Due to the Nor’easter expected to impact our area this weekend, we regret to share that Sunday’s in-person Run/Walk has been canceled. The safety of our participants, volunteers, staff, and community must always come first. Saturday’s early bib and shirt pick-up is also canceled.
While we are incredibly disappointed that we cannot gather together in person, you can still participate VIRTUALLY!
Registered participants will be able to pick up their bib and shirt next week (details to follow). Then, anytime between now and October 31, complete your own 5K—wherever and however you choose! Walk, run, stroll with your family, gather your team, or find a beautiful trail. Make it your own and make it meaningful.
And please send us and post photos of you completing your 5K so we can celebrate your miles, your teams, and your incredible support of My Breast Cancer Support!
We are so incredibly grateful for your participation, fundraising, sponsorship, volunteer time, and commitment to our mission. Your support allows us to continue providing critical financial and emotional assistance to local breast cancer patients and their families during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
Although we are heartbroken that the weather has prevented us from coming together as planned, we are grateful for your understanding, flexibility, and continued commitment to our breast cancer community.
The weather may have changed our plans, but it cannot stop our purpose.

WHO DOES THIS EVENT BENEFIT? The Celebrate Pink 5K Run & Walk - now in its 18th year - benefits MY BREAST CANCER SUPPORT, an independent NH 501C3 non-profit organization that provides financial and emotional support to breast cancer patients and their families on the seacoast of New Hampshire and in southern Maine. LOCATION / START TIME: The Celebrate Pink 5K starts at the Portsmouth Middle School, 155 Parrott Avenue in downtown Portsmouth, NH.
Onsite, day-of registration opens at 7:30 AM. Announcements and the raffle drawing start at 8:40 AM. The run/walk begins at 9:00 AM.
REGISTRATION:
When do I have to register by in order to get a free t-shirt? If you registered before August 26, 2026, you had the option to receive an event t-shirt.
How do I create or join a team? When you register, there is an option to select whether you are registering as an individual or if you would like to create/join a team.
If you decide to create/join a team AFTER you have registered, you can do so from your personal profile page.
Can I register the morning of the 5K? Yes! Registration will be available the morning of the 5K beginning at 7:30 AM at the Portsmouth Middle School.
We will have registration forms available.
When can I pick up my packet/t-shirt?
- DAY OF PICKUP: Packet pick-up will be available the morning of the 5K beginning at 7:30 AM at the Portsmouth Middle School.
- PRE-PICKUP: Packet pick-up will also be available on SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 26, 11AM - 1PM at the Portsmouth Middle School.
PARKING / ROAD CLOSURES:
Is parking available at the Portsmouth Middle School? Parking is NOT available at the Portsmouth Middle School, Portsmouth Library, Connie Bean Center or on Parrott Avenue (which will be closed for the 5K).
Where can I park? There are a number of parking options including a large lot on the corner of Parrott Avenue and Junkins Avenue as well as the lots at the City Hall on Junkins Avenue. For a map of Portsmouth parking options CLICK HERE.
THE COURSE / THE BRIDGE:
Is this a chip-timed run/walk? Yes. We will have ChronoTrack disposable tags that are affixed to the back of each bib numbers. As runners/walkers pass over the starting line the time and bib number are instantly recorded enabling fast, accurate results, including live results displayed onsite and emails or text messages sent to runners shortly after they finish the race.
Is the course certified? Unfortunately the course cannot be certified because it is just shy of a 5K.
Can I run/walk with a stroller? Strollers are allowed, however we ask that you stay toward the back of the participants so you don't block their way.
What if the bridge goes up during the run/walk? As with past years we do everything we can to get over the bridge and back before it goes up to allow boat traffic through. The start of the race may be adjusted by a couple of minutes to accommodate the bridge schedule (if need be).
STAY SAFE and help us keep this awesome course: It's very important that you run/walk on the sidewalks and bike paths, and NOT in the middle of the roads or bridge. We need to obey the NH DOT rules and NOT disrupt vehicle traffic in order to continue to keep this cool course. See further below for our course map.
FUNDRAISING:
Do I have to fundraise in order to be able to participate? No … it’s not mandatory to fundraise. However, we rely heavily on the funds that participants do raise on our behalf as they help us to continue this very important mission of providing financial and emotional support to local breast cancer patients!
If I decide I’d like to fundraise, how do I do that? Upon registering, a fundraising page will automatically be created for you. Instructions for setting up your page will be sent to you via email. You will be able to add a photo, update your fundraising goal, customize your message and more!
How can my friends and family sponsor me with a donation? Online contributions can be made by credit card on your personal fundraising page or HERE. If they don’t have a link to your page they can select your name from the list of participants.
What if they would prefer to donate by check? Checks can be made out and sent to My Breast Cancer Support, PO Box 1576, Portsmouth, NH 03802-1576. Make sure they include a note with your name so we can manually add it to your fundraising page totals.
Can I collect donations and bring them with me the day of the run/walk? Yes! When you arrive please visit the My Breast Cancer Support booth at the school.
Do Registration fees count toward my fundraising goal? No, registration fees support the cost of the event.
WEATHER / REFUNDS:
If the weather is bad can I receive a refund? No. Race registration fees are not refundable and the run/walk will take place regardless of the weather.
