Spectator and Parking Tips
Parking on the downtown streets in Salida is limited to two hours. Please pay attention to parking signs. Free all day parking may be obtained across the F Street bridge near the start/finish area, and in the parking lots on the west side of Safeway or west of G Street on 1st Street (291). If those lots are full, on street parking with no time limit is available starting at roughly 3rd or 4th streets.
The race finish will take place by Riverside Park, on Sackett Avenue in downtown Salida. Riverside Park is Salida's most popular park, and is located right by the Arkansas River, with a very popular playground area. This is also a great area to spectate, as you'll be able to see runners very clearly on the Sackett Avenue finish stretch. Please note that dogs are not allowed in the park unless they're on the pedestrian paths. In order to keep our permit in order with the City of Salida, we ask that everyone respects this rule. Spectators are allowed out on course, and all roads and paths will remain open during the event. If you want to be out on the course, another way to do that is to volunteer as a course marshal - your help is definitely appreciated!
