- Once runners have cleared the security check outside the designated gate at Ohio Aerospace Institute (OAI), they will be allowed to enter the grounds of NASA Glenn Research Center.

Come to downtown Cleveland before race day and pick up your race materials early, and explore the free NASA Discovery Days event at the Great Lakes Science Center!

Parking will be available at one of four (4) parking lots off of Aerospace Parkway and Apollo Dr.
Runners will need to make the short walk to Ohio Aerospace Institute (at the corner of Aerospace Parkway and Cedar Point Rd).
- Do NOT head to the NASA Glenn main entrance off Brook Park Road.

Yes, you can pickup packets for other people as long as they have registered.
You can pickup as many packets as you want but we do ask to send an email to sbaron@hermescleveland.com for larger groups (6 or more), so that we can prepare ahead of time.
- Access to NASA Glenn Research Center for the Space Race is limited to participants only. You must be a U.S. Citizen to participate. Spectators are not allowed and there will be no exceptions.
- Participants will enter the center through a designated, pedestrian security checkpoint at the Ohio Aerospace Institute located at 22800 Cedar Point Road. Please follow participant instructions for parking near the security checkpoint. Participant vehicles will not have access to the center or to OAI.
- Racers attempting to enter the center through the main gate off Brookpark Road, or the west gate off Cedar Point Road will be denied access. Racers must enter through the designated, pedestrian security checkpoint established at the Ohio Aerospace Institute.
- Handheld metal detectors will be utilized to prevent the unauthorized entry of weapons into the facility.
- Participants will be issued a wristband after screening.

Yes! Every runner will receive a finisher medal along with a t-shirt for their registration.
Porto-lets will be available in the Ohio Aerospace Institute parking lot, at the water station on the course, and at the finish line. No other restroom facilities will be accessible.
Yes, a water station will be placed along the 5K course and finish line water will be available courtesy of Magnetic Springs!
This race is an officially timed event using the disposable MyLaps BibTag timing system.
Race bibs must be worn on the front and center outermost layer of clothing and should remain adhered for the duration of the event.
This is a point-to-point race with shuttle service, bringing runners back to the start at Ohio Aerospace Institute.
After heading north on W Area Road, runners and walkers will pass landmark facilities including the 10x10 Supersonic Wind Tunnel, the 8x6 Wind Tunnel, the Aero-Acoustic Propulsion Facility, the Mission Integration Center, and the Simulated Lunar Operations Lab, before finishing at the historic Flight Research Building (The Hanger).

Those who can no longer attend are encouraged to claim their race materials at early packet pickup.

Runners who want to "transfer" their registration to another runner (no exchange of payment allowed) may do so by following the prompts HERE
- Absolutely no one is allowed to wear the bib of another runner without the official RunSignUp participant transfer.
- Those who are found violating this requirement will be banned from future events.

- Top 3 male/female runners in the following age groups:
- 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 & Over
Every single person (including children) must be pre-registered in order to enter NASA Glenn.
Strollers are welcome with all pre-registered children.
Complimentary shuttle service will run continuously from the finish line (north east side of campus) to the start line (south west side of campus). (roughly 1 mile)
Participants will then need to walk out of the designated security gate back to Ohio Aerospace Institute and to their vehicles. (roughly 1/2 mile)
