Parking & Registration (Fort Valley Lodge)

  • Open: 6:00 AM 

  • Location: Fort Valley Lodge (turn off Hwy 180 onto Snowbowl Rd) 

  • Start Line: Approximately 100 yards uphill from parking 

 

Key Event Times

  • Rolling Start Window: 6:30 AM – 9:00 AM 

  • Final Walkers Start by: 9:00 AM (No starts after this time) 

  • Route Closes: 11:00 AM 

  • Road Opens to Public: 12:00 PM 

  • Last Bus from the Top to Base: 1:00 PM 

 

Shuttles, Water Stops, & Recovery Support 

  • Shuttle Starts: 7:00 AM (Pick up from Stop #1, approx. 1.5 miles in) 

  • 4 Shuttle Stops along the route & Water Stops   

  • Recovery Vehicles & Carts available for assistance 

  • Buses will run throughout the morning to help participants reach either the top or the base as needed. Set milestone goals, pace yourself, and hop on a shuttle if needed—support is here for you. 

 

Hike Fest at the Top – Hart’s Prairie Lodge 

  • VIP Survivor Experience with light bites, juice and coffee 

  • Nackard Pepsi will provide free beverages 

  • Outback Steakhouse Chicken Caesar Salads 

  • Shamrock Foods served by Snowbowl will provide free hot dogs 

  • Iconic Photo Ops: "I Climb For" tribute wall  

  • Bring a debit or credit card for food, drinks, and ACS merchandise available for donation. 

 

Shirt Pickup – Important Dates & Locations 

  • ThursdaySeptember 17, 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM: Pick up your shirt at Aiden by Best Western (2000 S. Milton Rd, Outdoor Patio). 

  • Event Day (Sept. 19): Pick up your shirt at Registration starting at 6:00 AM. 

 

Registration Fees 

  • General Registration: $50 

  • Living Proof, First Responders, Veterans, Students: $35 

  • Every participant must register individually. 

 

Important Event Notes 

  • Dogs are welcome (just keep them on a leash and hydrated!).

FAQ – Quick Answers 

  • Where is parking? Parking is at the base, and we have ample parking for all. 
  • Do I have to hike the full 7 miles? No. Walk as far as you’d like! There are 4 bus stops along the route, plus the bus stops at the Start and Finish. 
  • When do shuttles start? Around 7:00 AM 
  • Where are the restrooms? Portable restrooms at all 8 water stops, at parking, at the Start, and full facilities at the top inside Hart’s Prairie Lodge.
