FAQ
Is this a chip timed event? Yes. This is a chip timed event, and after the event see our results tent for a results printout and to claim awards.
Can I register the day of the race? Maybe. If there are spots still open, than yes. However, it will be at the highest price point which is $40 for both the 5k and 10k. If the events are full, there will be no race day registrations. We will make this announcement ahead of time.
Do you accept refunds? No. However, deferring your registration to a future race may be an option. If you have any questions, please email us at contact@stampederunningco.com
Can I run/walk with my dog? No. As much as we love dogs, for liability reasons they are not allowed during the race.
Can I run/walk with a stroller? Yes. Absolutely bring the little ones! We only ask that out of respect for the other participants, please keep to the far right side of the trail.
I can't make the event, can I transfer my registration to someone else? Yes. You just have to let us know 10 days in advance.
Are there any park fees associated with this race? No. This course does run through several parks, but does not require any park payments.
Will there be restrooms on site? Yes. There will be extra porta-potties on site.
Are there age group awards? Yes. Top overall male and female for both distances get an award. Plus, top 3 in each age group get an award. All awards are based on chip time. Age groups are: Under 14, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+
What if it's raining, will the event be cancelled? Maybe... but probably not. We will hold this event rain or shine. We may delay the race for up to 30 minutes to accommodate bad weather, or cancel the event if the weather is too dangerous to run/walk. In the event of a cancelled event, there will be no refunds. We cannot control the weather... but it would be cool if we could :)
Are their aid stations on the course? Yes. The 5k course will pass the aid station 2 times. The 10k course will pass the aid station 4 times. Plus we will have a Vanilla Iced Coffee station on the route too. There also first aid kits at each aid station.
I registered for the actual race, but I can't make it, can I switch to virtual race? Yes. That is not a problem as long as you let us know by 9/30/2019. Get the same swag but run the distance on your own terms.
I registered for the virtual race, when will I get my swag? Your shirt, medal, and bib will be mailed out the week following the race.
I registered for the regular race, but I can't make it, can I transfer it to the virtual race instead? Yes. That's no problem. You just need to let us know 1 week in advance of the race.
I won a free race entry on this super sweet scratch off ticket to the next stampede event... but I've already registered for it... can I get a refund? Yes. For a FREE RACE winner; if you are already registered for our next race, we will issue a refund. However, if you won a discounted race entry and you've already registered for it, there's no way to do a partial refund.
