Camping at Crooked Road Ultra
We're excited to announce the availability of CAMPING at the Crooked Road 24 Hour Ultra! This is the perfect addition to create a fun, festival like atmosphere at the race. In order to comply with local camping regulations and to make a safe event for everyone, please adhere to the following camping guidelines:
- Reserve your campsite by adding it to your registration in the Store. Campsites will be available at check-in on a first come, first served basis.
- Keep tables, chairs, 10x10 canopies and/or camping tents at least 5 feet away from the trail.
- Open air fires are permitted ONLY in an above ground vessel, such as a fire pit or solo stove. Please protect the grass from scorching with a fire pit stand and/or mat, tiles or bricks. You must haul away all ashes.
- Alcohol is prohibited at Waid Park.
- All tents/canopies must be secured to the ground with stakes or tent weights. We recommend at least 10 lbs per leg on a 10x10 canopy. (5-gallon bucket halfway full of water from the creek works great!).
Van Camping with Noke Van Co!
We're super excited to partner with Roanoke's own Noke Van Co to offer Camper Van Camping at CR24! Noke Van Co is offering special discounted rates on their rental vans for the event. Check out the fleet HERE and email Emily at Noke Van Co for more information, rates, and to make a reservation.
Whether you have own Van (or cartop tent with awning) or will be renting one for the weekend, you'll still need to reserve a Van Camping site (for free!) by adding it to your registration in the store. Reserving a Van Camping spot will ensure that you have two parking spaces- one for your vehicle and one next to it for your awning.
Tent Camping
Car/Tent camping will be FREE! We'll have 5 tent camping zones, all along the course for you to choose from. Reserve your zone by adding it to your registration in the store. Individual sites within the zones will be available on a first come, first served basis. If you plan on sleeping in your car, no problem! We need to know how many people plan on spending the night so that we have adequate restroom facilities. Let us know if you're sleeping in your car by adding it onto your registration in the store.
Not into camping, but still want to set up your own personal aid station? Reserve a tent camping site in your preferred zone to secure your spot!
