Team Registration Info
Form a team to:
•Honor or remember someone special who has suffered a traumatic brain injury, stroke, or has Multiple Sclerosis
•Gather family and friends for a fun, healthy Saturday morning outing with a feel-good purpose
•Recruit co-workers for friendly, out-of-office competition
•Bring classmates, neighbors, and others together
Build Your Team:
Recruit your team at home, church, school, work, and/or in your neighborhood. Invite family, friends, neighbors, and/or co-workers to join you at the Dove Dash 5K Walk/Run Walkathon, Family 1K & Pancake Breakfast!
•Choose a Team Captain and team name
•Team Captain will register first and create the team (you must register online)
•Set a goal and fundraise!
Team Captain Responsibilities:
Be a leader, be a team captain! The role of Team Captain is very important in recruiting and organizing a team.
•Establish a team name
•Recruit, organize and build your team
•Get creative and have fun!
•Communicate reminders about the race, fundraising efforts and deadlines to your team
Important Reminders:
•Teams can be any combination of runners, walkers, and/or kids, as well as, 5K, and/or Family 1K participants
•Entry Fee is non-refundable and non-transferable
•No Team race day registration
Team Awards:
Have fun and be creative while supporting a great cause!
Largest Team
•The team with the most amount of people will receive an award!
Fastest Team
•The team who comes in with the fastest overall time will receive an award!
Team Photos:
Don't forget your camera! Commemorate your team's accomplishment in raising funds and awareness to support TBI, stroke, and MS patients by taking a picture of your team finishing the Dove Dash! Post the picture to your social media with the hashtag #dovedash.
REGISTRATION & JOINING A TEAM
TEAM CAPTAIN REGISTRATION
1. Go to the race registration page, enter your registration information, choose the event you would like to participate in. Before the continue button is the question “Would you like to join or create a team?” Select “Yes” then click continue.
2. Review the waiver information and click continue if you agree.
3. At the top of the next screen are 3 headers:
1 – No Team
2 – Join an Existing Team
3 – Create a New Team
Select the 3rd header – Create a New Team. Select team type – Team/Group and enter your team name. You may choose to create a password for your team. Click Continue.
*If you do choose to set a password for your team, you will be responsible for informing your team of this password. They will need the password to join the team when they register.
4. Continue answering the questions to complete your race registration.
TEAM MEMBER REGISTRATION
1. Go to the race registration page, enter your registration information, choose the event you would like to participate in. Before the continue button is the question “Would you like to join or create a team?” Select “Yes” then click continue.
2. Review the waiver information and click continue if you agree.
3. At the top of the next screen are 3 headers:
1 – No Team
2 – Join an Existing Team
3 – Create a New Team
Select the 2nd header – Join an Existing Team. Select team type – Team/Group and search for your team name to select.
*If it prompts you to enter a password to join the team you will need to enter the password your team captain gave your to join the team. If you don't know the password, contact your team captain for the password.
4. Once you have selected your team, continue answering the questions to complete your race registration.
