If you're picking up for multiple participants, please bring their names and shirt sizes to help us keep things moving smoothly.
🏃 Bib numbers will be assigned at check-in, and we’ll write each participant’s name on the back of their bib for easy identification on race day
Yes—you're welcome to have someone else pick up your packet, and we actually encourage it to help minimize crowds at packet pickup.
At check-in, each bib will have the participant’s name written on the back to ensure proper identification. Once you receive your bib, please verify your bib number on the Davidson Turkey Trot RunSignUp site to confirm everything is correct
Free public parking is available throughout town, including along Main Street and Concord Road. Additional parking can be found on Jackson Street and in several nearby lots, as well as at the United Methodist Church parking lot.
We recommend arriving early to secure a spot and allow plenty of time for check-in. Carpooling is encouraged to help ease traffic and ensure a smoother experience for all participants.
Yes, race-day registration will be available—space permitting. We recommend registering in advance to guarantee your spot and to help us keep race-day operations running smoothly.
If you do register on race day, please arrive early and head to the registration tent to complete your sign-up. Bibs and shirts will be distributed while supplies last.
🕗 What time does the race start, and where does it begin?
The 2025 Davidson Turkey Trot kicks off at 8:00 AM sharp on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 27.
🏁 Starting Line:
The race start line is on South Street, just beyond the corner of South Street and S. Main Street in Davidson, NC.
We recommend arriving by 7:15 AM to allow time for parking, warm-up, and pre-race festivities. Let’s make it a joyful and energetic start to your holiday!
Yes—there will be a water station located at the intersection of Pine Road and Avinger Lane to help keep you hydrated. The course loops past this spot twice, so you'll have two opportunities to grab water during your run.
Yes—porta-potties will be available on the Village Green for participant use.
While there are no restrooms along the course itself, we recommend using the facilities before the race begins to ensure a comfortable run.
Yes, leashed dogs are welcome to join the fun on the course! We love seeing our four-legged friends out there. For everyone’s safety and enjoyment, please ensure your dog is well-behaved, remains on a leash at all times, and is comfortable around crowds and other animals.
And don’t forget—festive bandanas and turkey-themed costumes are highly encouraged for pups too!
The race starts on South Street, just beyond Flatiron Kitchen and Taphouse, and finishes on Lorimer Road next to the Village Green.
Signage and volunteers will be on hand to help guide you throughout the course. Expect music, cheers, and a festive atmosphere at the finish—perfect for celebrating your Turkey Trot triumph!
Yes! We’ll have complimentary donuts, bananas, coffee, and water available near the finish area to help you refuel and celebrate.

Our goal is for every participant to receive a race shirt and finisher medal! Orders are placed based on registration numbers at key deadlines and past race trends, so while supplies aren’t guaranteed, we’re planning ahead to have enough for everyone.
Picking up your packet early gives you the best chance at your preferred shirt size. Medals will be awarded at the finish line to celebrate your accomplishment—and this year’s design is one of our favorites yet, featuring vibrant fall colors and a fresh new look you’ll be proud to show off!

All registrations are non-refundable. We understand that plans can change, which is why we offer optional registration insurance during checkout. This coverage allows participants to protect their entry in case of unexpected circumstances.

Yes, you may wear headphones/earbuds during the race, but you will need to pay special attention to the course and course monitors, as you may not hear directions or other alerts.
Unfortunately, we do not offer gear check or a designated area for personal items. We recommend leaving valuables at home or keeping them with a friend or family member during the race.
