For 44 years, Doggie Dash & Dawdle participants like you have helped raise vital funds for homeless and at-risk animals like Marvin.

Marvin first came to Animal Humane New Mexico in December 2025 as part of an emergency transfer from a dangerously overcrowded partner shelter. He was one of 55 dogs given a second chance that day. Marvin was vaccinated and neutered in our care before being adopted.

A few months later, Marvin was back in our shelter.

An old eye injury had worsened - Marvin needed surgery to remove his eye. At just seven months old, Marvin underwent specialized surgery in Animal Humane's Donor-subsidized Veterinary Clinic and has since been working with our behavior team to build confidence and prepare for his next family.

Today, we continue to give Marvin food, shelter, enrichment, and a lot of love as he waits for another chance at forever. Animal Humane New Mexico is committed to our animals for as long as it takes to find their home. And that's possible because of you.
