About Purrific Rescue
Purrific Rescue is a 501 (c)(3) organization committed to the humane and compassionate treatment of rescued cats.
Their mission is to provide for the adoption and placement of rescued cats and kittens into permanent loving homes as well as supporting the broader low-income community in San Jose, helping families care for their beloved pets by providing access to spay/neuter and medical care they might not otherwise afford.
Their second major project is ongoing at a homeless encampment in Fremont, where they continue to offer the same life-saving services—spay/neuter, vaccinations, and urgent veterinary care—for the cats and kittens who live alongside unhoused individuals. These animals are often overlooked, but thanks to our dedicated volunteers and partners, they are not forgotten.
So far, 39 kittens and adult cats have been fixed, vaccinated, and microchipped. All but four kittens have been placed in loving homes. We are almost there!
