General Rules & Restrictions

• How many dogs can I bring per person? Only one dog is allowed per walker.

• Is there a minimum age to walk a dog? Yes, the person walking the dog must be 18 years or older. Children can walk alongside dogs, but they can't hold the leash.

• Does my dog need to be friendly? Yes, dogs must be well-behaved and non-aggressive around people and other dogs.

• Does my dog need to be on a leash? Absolutely. Dogs must be on a leash at all times, no exceptions. The leash should be no longer than four (4) feet, and no extendable/retractable leashes are allowed.

• How current do my dog's vaccinations need to be? Dogs must be current on all required vaccines.

• Can I bring my puppy? No, please do not bring puppies who haven't completed all of their vaccinations.

• Do I need to pick up after my pet? Yes, please set a good example and pick up after your pet. Extra poop bags and trash cans will be available.

Health & Safety Considerations

• Are there any considerations if my dog isn't used to strenuous activity? If you have a dog breed that might not be able to handle this level of activity (4K), please consider not registering for this event.

• I have a small dog, are there any special precautions I should take? Since there may be many large dogs at the walk, if you have a small dog, consider carrying your dog or bringing a pet stroller to keep your dog safe and comfortable.

Important Note for Parents

• Is it safe for children to interact with dogs at the event? Parents should remind children to be respectful and refrain from petting any dog without the owner's permission.
