The Anchorage Running Club
is a 501 (c)(3) all volunteer organization. Its mission is to promote a healthy life style through running and exercise. Funds raised by the club go toward the support of community running events, the creation of new events throughout the year, the ARC scholarship program for deserving high school seniors, and high school sports teams.
One of the goals of the ARC and Anchorage RunFest is to raise scholarship funds for Alaska high school runners to help out with their education expenses. Each year the ARC receives dozens of applications and chooses outstanding students to receive college scholarships. In 2024 ARC awarded two $3500 scholarships to outstanding students!

The Alaska Quilts of Valor
is a 501 (c) (3) all volunteer organization. Our mission is to cover Service Members and Veterans touched by war with comforting and healing.
Funds raised will be used to purchase high quality fabric, batting, backing, labels, and sewing supplies. Our volunteers piece the Quilts of Valor together using a machine or by hand. The Quilts are made in Alaska and stay in Alaska!
The Quilt of Valor Foundation appreciates the service and sacrifice of those who are serving and have served in the Armed Forces to protect our freedoms. Our goal is to award a Quilt of Valor to every Service Member and Veteran who has been touched by war. The Quilt says unequivocally, “Thank you for your service and sacrifice in serving our nation.”
For more info about Quilts of Valor or to nominate a Veteran or Service Member, please go to qovf.org. Thank you for your support.
