Project Action Charity #561
Project Action goals and objectives have been and remain to continue providing free transportation for Seniors and the Physically Challenged island-wide in Bermuda and to maintain its bare administrative operational cost, as they operate fully on volunteers with the only paid employee, a part time driver. Our future goals and objectives are hiring a paid full-time driver and a weekend driver.
The Project Action bus gives island-wide, door-to-door service to transportation-challenged Seniors (and whenever possible, physically challenged/wheelchair users regardless of age) to doctors’ appointments, hospital appointments, grocery shopping or just a ride out.
Project Action has diversified, serving and teaming up from its office in St George’s with Age Concern, the Salvation Army and a farmer, where arrangements have been made for seniors and families with children to get food vouchers, food hampers and fresh vegetables.
Project Action is presently experiencing financial challenges, but have over the last 20 years been in a bare bones financial position, which enable our wheels to continue turning and trust we will provide this necessary free transportation service to our Seniors and Physically Challenged.
PROJECT ACTION needs our help. Please donate to this worthwhile service.
