Swan's Running Club Legend Series.

Become a "Legend"!.

The Swan's Running club is happy for a 3rd year & for the 2019 race season, to continue it's legends series.

The aim of the Legends series is to celebrate Bermuda's race legends and to keep their contribution to running alive. There are 4 events that are part of this legend series and participants within the series must participate in a minimum of three (3) of the four (4)races.

• The Ed Sherlock 10K Run (February 17th, 2019)
• The Ray Swan Flat 8K (March 24th, 2019)
• The Ludwig Cann 10K (April 7th, 2019)
• The "Sir" Stanley Burgess 5K (May 5th, 2019)

Overall Legend Points 

The point system for the Legends Series is as follows:   

• 1st place =  25 points
• 2nd place = 18 points
• 3rd place =  15 points              
• 4th place =  12 points
• 5th place =  10 points 
• 6th place =  8 points
• 7th place =  6 points                             
• 8th place =  4 points
• 9th place =  2 points                    
• Remaining participants = 1 point

Double points will be awarded to all participants in the 4th and final race. In the event of a tie, the tie breaker is determined by the fastest recorded time in the first event date where both individuals participated.

The male and female participant with the highest number of accrued points will be crowned the overall Legends Series winner. Overall winners are not eligible for age group awards.

Age Group Legend Points

The first male and female winner in each age categories will win the Series titles and receive trophies based on the following point system.

• 1st place = 15 points
• 2nd place = 12 points
• 3rd place = 10 points
• 4th place = 8 points
• 5th place = 6 points
• 6th place = 4 points
• 7th place = 2 points
• Remaining participants = 1 point

AGE CATEGORIES FOR ALL LEGENDS RACES

• 20 – 39 = Open
• 40+ = Masters
• 50+ = Seniors
• 60+ = Veterans
• 70+ = Legends

Notes

The Overall Male/Female Legend Series Winner is not eligible for the AGE Group series.

Age group awards are based on ones age as of February 17th  of the race year.(2019) which is the date of the first race of the series.

By Registering for the Entire Series your entry will automatically be in each of the 4 above mentioned races.

LEGENDS RACE SERIES 2019 PRIZES

• Overall male and female runner with the highest accrued points in 3 out of 4 races wins the Legends Race Series trophy and $500.00
• Age group winners will also receive prizes.
• All series participants that complete the series (runs 3 out of 4 races) will receive a Legends bag, t-shirt and medal.

LEGENDS RACE SERIES 2019 GRAND PRIZE DRAW

Race Entry, Airline Ticket and Hotel to the largest 10K in the world, Atlanta, Georgia - July 4th, 2019

DRAW PRIZE RULES

1. Only Legends Race Series participants that complete the series (3 out of 4 races) are eligible for the prize draw.
2. The draw prize consists of paid entry into the AJC Peachtree Road Race (10K) to be held on July 4th, 2019 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Included is airfare (value $500) and 3 nights stay at the DoubleTree Hotel in Buckhead.
3. Winner must accept prize as is. It is non-transferable and there is no prize substitution.
4. If the initial winner is unable to accept the prize (as is), a subsequent draw will take place.
5. The draw will take place on Sunday, May 5th, 2019 after the Sir Stanley Burgess 5K Race.
6. All decisions made by the Directors of the Legends Race Series are final.
7. By participating in this Prize Draw, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules.
