We look forward to seeing you at the Habitat Restoration Event on Saturday, March 22nd, 9am-12pm at Nature Collective's Sienna Canyon/Manchester site. We recommend arriving 5-10 minutes early before the 9am start time to park and sign in. Parking Directions and Meeting location to review prior to the event are featured below.
Parking Location: The entrance to the parking area is a dirt access road that intersects the eastern side of Manchester Ave. When heading east on Manchester Ave, the entrance is just past the rows of vineyards. The exact location of the dirt access road entrance is linked here. A Nature Collective Waypoint Flag will be placed near the entrance, marking where to enter from Manchester Ave. Volunteers should drive slowly and cautiously, especially when exiting back onto Manchester Ave after the event. The dirt road has a few bumps but isn’t suspected to limit access for most types of vehicles if the road is dry.
Meeting Location: Once you have entered the dirt access road, continue straight on the dirt road until it dead ends underneath the Manchester Power Lines location linked here. This is the parking area and meeting area. Once everyone is gathered at this meeting location, Nature Collective Staff will provide a short interactive talk as they guide your group from the parking area to the nearby restoration site location, sharing information about the work Nature Collective is doing in the area and introducing your group to the restoration site.
Tasks: Habitat restoration tasks will be planting, watering and weeding.
