Band On The Run 5K

Donation Goal: $6,000

Your donations will help keep the music alive at New Smyrna Beach High School! The only funding the band gets from the county is about $100 a year. However, our current annual budget runs between $40,000 to $50,000. This is what is needed to pay for buses to football games and marching competitions, sheet music, new instruments & instrument repairs, uniform cleaning and upkeep, trailer to transport equipment— the list goes on and on. The rest has to be paid by fundraising or out of the parent’s pockets.  This becomes increasingly difficult to keep students who would thrive in band, funded.

 

The New Smyrna Beach Band Parents Association (NSBBPA) is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization and your donation qualifies as a tax deduction should you wish to take it. (EIN #59-3041343) It is through this organization, comprised of the parents of the Band Program students, that the annual funds are raised to keep the Band and Auxiliary Program a vital part of children’s education. All of this would cease to exist however, if it were not for the efforts of the parents and other community supporters.
