A Portion of proceeds from this race will support the Parrish Fire District. The Parrish Fire District is an Independent Special District located in northern Manatee County. The district provides fire protection to 10,000 residents over a predominately rural area, with one fire station, 12 career firefighting personnel, 4 staff employees, an average of 10 reserve responders, and 2 volunteer fire officers.
