The Hawai'i Primary Care Association (HPCA) is a non-profit organization that responds to and provides programs for community health centers (CHCs): clinics also known as Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) that exist in federally-recognized areas where people receive inadequate healthcare. The CHCs that the HPCA supports across all eight Hawaiian Islands include Kalihi-Palāma Health Center, Kōkua Kalihi Valley Comprehensive Family Services, Ko'olauloa Health Center, Wahiawā Health, Wai'anae Coast Comprehensive Health Center, Waikīkī Health, Waimānalo Health Center, Hāmākua Health Center, Hawai'i Island Community Health Center, Lāna'i Community Health Center, Hāna Health, Malama I Ke Ola Health Center, Moloka'i Community Health Center, and Kaua'i Community Health Center. With further funding, the HPCA will serve the 10.7% of Hawai'i's population that depends on CHCs while utilizing the Bureau of Primary Health Care's "Theory of Change."
