Every Step of the Way 5K

Your participation and support of Every Step of the Way 5K purchases brand new pairs of sneakers for children in need this school year. Along with registering as a runner, participants and teams have the opportunity to host an online fundraiser to raise additional funds for sneaker purchases. 

A solid pair of gently used sneakers remains one of the most difficult items for Catie’s Closet to obtain for our students. This means we rely heavily on new sneaker donations. Our annual 5K is a fun and impactful way our supporters can provide this much-needed item to students in need. 

So many of our students are forced to wear sneakers that are too small, too large, covered in holes, or ripping apart from the soles. While sneakers are a challenging item to provide for students, they are critical to our students’ self-esteem and ability to participate in school, play, and everyday life. 

Together, we can be with children in need every step of the way!
